The Department of Sports Engineering & Biomechanics deals with aspects of modern sports equipment production in both its course of instruction and in its research and development activities.
Sports equipment technology is an interdisciplinary field that focuses on medicine, sports science and business as well as engineering disciplines such as materials science, machine building, electronic engineering and mechanical science. Numerous projects with well-known sporting goods manufacturers ensure that the course of instruction is based on current research findings and developments.
These subjects are covered in the course of instruction for the Sports-Equipment-Technology bachelor’s degree program and master’s degree program.
