R&D competencies

One of the main tasks of the Department of Telecommunications and Internet Technologies is application-oriented research and development focusing on software development and product prototyping. The department is working on R&D projects in the field of Telecommunications and Internet Technologies together with the business community and industry as well as research institutions. It offers competencies in the fields of communication networks & Internet, mobile & wireless systems, telecommunications engineering & digital transmission systems, network security, Voice over IP, Fixed Mobile Convergence, IP Multimedia Subsystem, Next Generation Networks, IPTV, Unified Communications and development of telecommunication applications on Android and iPhone . It further offers knowledge needed to apply Telecommunications and Internet Technologies in cross-sectional IT solutions for Ambient Assisted Living, Home Automation, Energy Efficiency Systems, Smart Grids, Intelligent Transport and Logistic Systems.
