Degree programs

UAS Technikum Wien offers a total of 11 bachelor's and 17 master's degree programs as full-time, part-time and distance study programs. In 2004, UAS Technikum Wien was the first university of applied sciences in Austria to entirely switch to the uniform bachelor's/master's degree system that has been introduced throughout the EU.

The central tasks of the administrative offices of the degree programs are the organization of the courses of study and the (further) development of the curriculum.

Departments

The departments at UAS Technikum Wien are responsible for establishing and expanding the institution's technical expertise and staff in the areas of instruction and research. UAS Technikum Wien currently has a total of sixteen departments.

Study Centers

The degree programs and institutes are assigned to one of four study centers with regard to content and organization:

  • Communication Technologies & Electronic Engineering
  •  Information Technologies & Business Solutions
  •  Engineering & Environmental Technologies
  •  Life Science Technologies

The Senate and the University of Applied Sciences Council

The Senate and the University of Applied Sciences Council are the decision-making bodies that preside over the degree programs and the institutes. The Senate is the executive committee; the University of Applied Sciences Council, which employs a system of equal representation, is the steering and decision-making committee of the institution. The University of Applied Sciences Council performs all of the tasks defined by the University of Applied Sciences Studies Act (FHStG) in the currently amended version and ensures the autonomy of the institution. The Rector's Office is responsible for the overall direction of the institution (Rector and Vice Rector).
