Studying abroad

UAS Technikum Wien International – Center for International Relations & Cross-Cultural Education supports students in planning and preparing to study abroad. UAS Technikum Wien International accompanies students throughout the entire process: from obtaining initial information about the possibilities for studying abroad to the administrative organization of the semester abroad to the assessment of the experience.

Students at UAS Technikum Wien can study abroad either as part of a student exchange program or as a free mover. It is important to find out in advance whether the courses students plan to take can be accredited.

Studying abroad as part of an exchange program

Students in an exchange program can study at one of the partner institutions in UAS Technikum Wien's international network. Spaces are available at post-secondary institutions that have signed an agreement with UAS Technikum Wien. Generally, the accreditation standards defined by ECTS apply.

  • Students can study abroad in Europe through mobility programs such as ERASMUS or CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Program for University Studies).
  • Students who would like to study abroad outside of Europe can do so at one of UAS Technikum Wien's partner institutions, for example, in China, Japan or Argentina.
  • If students do not want to study abroad through a student exchange program or at one of our partner institutions, but rather at an institution of their choice, UAS Technikum Wien can coordinate with the desired institution in order to arrange a study abroad.

Studying as a free mover

Students who do not want to take advantage of any of the possibilities for studying abroad described above can plan and organize their study abroad themselves as a "free mover"; this includes applying for a space at an institution (which usually involves paying tuition) with the help of UAS Technikum Wien International. Free movers are responsible for obtaining information about the degree programs and courses offered themselves and for registering at the desired institution.
