With over 200 courses, the Universtitätssportinstitut Vienna (USI) offers a wide array of sports activities. The courses can be booked at a moderate price and usually fill up quickly. The USI's sports program is open to students from all universities and universities of applied sciences, university employees and academics.
Unisport is run by a team of students who are enthusiastic about sports and it offers various sports activities and workshops for like-minded people. You can find information about the special courses offered, affordable sports camps and reduced fees for fitness studios on the Unisport web site.
Besides the large umbrella organizations such as ASKÖ, UNION and ASVÖ, many smaller organizations and clubs invite you to take part in sports activities. You can find an overview of the entire range of organizations and clubs on the city of Vienna's web site.
Vienna offers a wide array of fitness studios, with everything from smaller individual studios to fitness providers with multiple locations. Some fitness studios also offer reduced fees for students (e.g. Club Danube).

The city of Vienna operates numerous indoor and outdoor swimming pools that offer affordable prices. Two special recommendations: Thanks to its spectacular view, the Krapfenwaldbad is one of Vienna's most popular swimming pools, and the Amalienbad is one of the most beautiful historical buildings in Vienna. The Old and New Danube, including the legendary Gänsehäufel riverside beach, are the perfect place to enjoy the hot days of summer.
Whether for commuting to the university of applied sciences every day or enjoying an exhilarating round of mountain biking, Vienna has a dense network of cycling paths. Vienna's Prater is the green heart of the city and is just the thing to set runners' hearts racing. You can find additional running paths on the Danube Island, in Schönbrunn park, in Augartenpark, in Türkenschanzpark, in the Lainzer Tiergarten wildlife preserve, around Cobenzl and in the Vienna Woods. You can prove your courage at speeds of up to 40 km/h traveling down the Hohe-Wand-Wiese ski slope in a summer toboggan. At the halfway mark there is even a ski jump. You can find more information here.

Vienna's oldest bowling hall is in the Prater (Brunswick Bowling), but there are numerous other bowling alleys throughout the city. You can find an overview here.
