Business informatics specialists are in high demand due to their expertise in facilitating and coordinating the interplay between a company’s specialized business activities and its IT systems. Female students in particular are increasingly exploiting this combination of interdisciplinary training with great success. Business informatics specialists from UAS Technikum Wien perform a wide array of activities. For example, they
- analyze, plan and develop business information and communication systems,
- design and implement organizational concepts for business as organizers and organizational programmers,
- evaluate, compare, develop and implement applications in a business and global environment, with special emphasis on system integration (enterprise application integration, EAI),
- work in the sale and distribution of hardware and software for business information and communication systems,
- plan, conceptualize and implement training measures for users of business information and communication systems,
- take on managerial or team leadership responsibilities at IT companies and corporate consultancy firms,
- are responsible for managing IT-oriented projects in which all of the necessary business-related and company-specific aspects must be taken into consideration, or
- are highly sought-after for systems engineering and the systematic analysis of distributed company networks and communication structures.
