Besides teaching activities at UAS Technikum Wien, the Institute of Computer Sciences is concerned in its four competence centers with automated mobility, eHealth, smart city and artificial intelligence (AI).

The Institute of Electronic Engineering comprises the ‘Electronic Based Systems’ and ‘Electronics and Telecommunications’ competence centers. The spectrum ranges from teaching activities in Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs to top-level research.

The Institute of Life Sciences Engineering brings together expertise in the fields of medical engineering, biomedical computer sciences, biomechanics, rehabilitation engineering, sports equipment engineering and ergonomics, cell-culture methods and biomaterials, (environmental and biological) chemistry as well as ecotoxicology and environmental management.

The overarching Institute of Entrepreneurship & Communications encompasses the competence areas of social skills, languages and management, business and law.
