Those were the #ERASMUSDAYS at the UAS Technikum Wien
Every year from 10 to 12 October, Europeans celebrate the EU's flagship project Erasmus+, which has allowed millions of European citizens to spend valuable time abroad to study, work or complete further training. The International Office of the FH Technikum Wien organised four events within this framework with the aim of inspiring even more students and staff to take part in the Erasmus+ programme and to present previous projects. "Erasmus for Breakfast" offered the opportunity to taste Europe's breakfast dishes and drinks and at the same time to find out about the possibilities of Erasmus+ staff mobility. Over croissants and coffee, previous participants exchanged views with interested colleagues and the International Office provided advice and guidance on all possibilities.
The panel discussion International Research in the frame of Erasmus+ showed that internationalisation and research are two topics that go hand in hand. In this context, an alumni of the Master's programme in Medical Engineering and eHealth and her Master's thesis supervisor at the partner institution Técnico Lisboa discussed possibilities to conduct research within the Erasmus+ area in the framework of her studies. The Portuguese finale of the evening with Fado and Portuguese delicacies offered space for questions and discussions. For 5 days, a poster exhibition entitled "instagrammable Erasmus+ Locations" drew attention to less well-known or popular partner institutions. The aim of the exhibition was to appeal to the students' sense of adventure and thus to point out possibilities within the Erasmus+ programme, from the classical semester abroad to the study-relevant internship in the Erasmus+ region. This year's #ERASMUSDAYS ended with the network event From Global to Gugelhupf, which encouraged current incoming students and returning outgoing students to exchange ideas and network.
