Welcome

The RoboCupJunior European Championship is a transregional European event where the best European RoboCupJunior teams, which have prevailed in national qualifying rounds, come together for a challenging European competition.

RoboCupJunior is an ideal approach to getting young people excited about science and technology. International RoboCup events are used to promote RoboCup as an attractive tool for communicating the importance of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics for the future of European society.

The goal of RoboCupJunior is to get young people excited about technology. Robotics and AI will have a significant impact in the future, so the next generation of robotics professionals needs to be motivated today.

The RoboCupJunior European Championship 2026 takes place in Vienna from June 3-6. 2026. It is collocated with one of the major international robotics conferences, the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation 2026 (ICRA 2026, https://2026.ieee-icra.org/ ), which takes place in Vienna from June 1-5, 2026. That provides a unique opportunity to expose the participants with cutting edge robotics research and to gain attention to promote this unique STEM initiative.

Participants at ICRA 2026 will have the opportunity to visit RCJEC2026 on one of the competition days. Guided tours of the event will also be offered for Austrian school classes.
