Information has become an essential resource for companies, governments and societies. This is associated with a tremendous increase in the volume of data that defies oversight. As a result, the intelligent and efficient handling of electronic information and information systems has become an absolute necessity. Because information is even the most important form of capital for many companies, the security of data against loss or destruction and the protection of data against misuse are of the utmost importance.
