Open Data Expo 2026

To celebrate the international Open Data Days 2026, the UAS Technikum Wien and the Vienna Business Agency invite you to the 5th Open Data Expo on March 5, 2026. This year’s motto is “Transparency meets innovation – open data for all”. Numerous applications and projects based on publicly available data will be presented. In addition, workshops will be offered.
Note: This event will be held in German language
This event is funded by the European Regional Development Fund as part of the ‘Interreg Austria – Czech Republic’ programme.

Educational data tour as part of the Open Data Days in Vienna 2026
‘Changes in the city’ What you can learn from the data
Additionally to the Open Data Expo, an educational data tour through Vienna will be organised. This initiative aims to show ‘changes in the city with the help of data’. Details will be announced soon.

Background
Open Data are publicly available data and datasets that are provided by different companies and organizations and may be used by anyone for any purpose. This results in numerous use cases and opportunities to develop new applications and apps.
For more than 15 years, various activities and events around the Open Data Days have been taking place worldwide to highlight the importance of publicly available data. In Vienna, an Open Data Expo will now be held for the 5th time and an educational data tour will be organized. Admission to the Open Data Expo is free.
