Description:
I3ergsteiger is an alpine adventure game in which players explore Austria’s diverse mountain landscapes. They play their way through handcrafted levels, collect beautiful flowers, meet friendly locals, and find their own way to the summit. Players face a fun challenge as they master the slingshot mechanic to reach the top of the leaderboard. In its introductory level, I3ergsteiger charms players and shows what to expect from this game in the future.

TechBreach

Description:
TechBreach is a first-person action horror game set in a futuristic research facility controlled by a malicious AI. Players must escape the facility while evading the AI Aurora and her cyborg minions. The game emphasizes the strategic installation of modules that allow players to modify their abilities and weapons at the expense of their vulnerability. Developed with Unreal Engine 5, TechBreach combines exploration, combat, and a narrative that explores themes of identity and technology, culminating in a unique gaming experience.

ImMune

Description:
The real-time strategy game ImMune was developed as part of the AI Engineering program and allows players to control the human immune system to protect organs from intruders such as viruses and bacteria. In addition to classic strategy mechanics, the game offers innovative elements such as unidirectional blood flow and customizable units. Development followed an agile approach with sprints lasting several weeks, using planning tools such as Azure DevOps. The focus was on implementing core features, balancing, and debugging. The result is a playable demo that showcases the game’s potential and the team’s successful collaboration.

Description: Liskara: Seeds of Exploration is a PC game that combines elements of farming, dungeon crawling, and role-playing. Players take on the role of Liska, a young fox who gets stranded in a magical forest during a storm. The game combines relaxing farming with challenging dungeons. Players can trade with the various animal villagers and complete quests for them. By foregoing currency and focusing on trading and quest rewards, Liskara stands out from similar titles and offers a unique and engaging gaming experience.

Description: The game is a 3D action platformer set in an attic full of forgotten and discarded items. A tyrannical ruler rules with an iron fist and separates all toys into camps according to their type. Our wooden hero is separated from his friends and sets out to free them from the clutches of the tyrant. During the adventure, the hero discovers new toy parts that modularly expand his abilities, allowing him to explore new areas and defeat stronger enemies. In the end, the hero consists of parts from different “toy types” and uses the power and help of all the friends he has gained to defeat the evil that reigns in the attic. The game places great emphasis on the theme of collective strength and unity, emphasizing that it is our differences that make us strong.

Deconvolution

Description: Deconvolution is an immersive game set in a world generated entirely by AI, based on Lynn Margulis and James Lovelock’s Gaia hypothesis, which states that the Earth can be viewed as a single large organism. During the journey, players connect with objects and thus become a complex organism themselves. At the end, you arrive on a planet and the organism you have become triggers its unique unfolding, and you yourself become the planet.

Description: GetRasty is a tower defense and real-time strategy game in which players defend their castle from invading enemies by strategically placing towers along a predefined path. In the game, you manage workers who autonomously perform tasks such as resource gathering and tower construction. The game mechanics revolve around placing towers, managing the supply chain, and understanding the interactions between different tower and enemy types. There are three different towers in the game, each of which requires special ammunition to be produced by workers.

Description: The SpellSlinger project is an immersive, entertaining, and challenging VR puzzle game. Here, you play a wizard who must skillfully wield a magic wand to complete various puzzles and obstacle courses. The focus of this project is on the playful execution of spells. In this game, spells are recognized as magic symbols by reading the gestures of the wand as runes. This rune recognition is performed using a neural network, in a unique application of AI in video games.

To his surprise, however, he encounters never-ending hordes of enemies, with each wave he survives granting him one of three bonuses that make him stronger as he continues his journey.

šanû is a rogue-like game developed in Unreal Engine 5, in which the enemy AI adapts to the player’s behavior through machine learning. Due to the adaptive nature of the AI, the player is forced to regularly change weapons and combat strategies. The story takes place in an ancient Mesopotamian temple, from which the player must escape in the guise of the goddess Tiamat. During the escape, the goddess must fight enemies that become more adaptable with each encounter.

Container Masters (Winner Best in Class Award 2022)

The aim of the game is to deliver the containers of a large cargo ship and work with the team to combat the chaos in the port. To do this, players must use a forklift truck to bring the containers to the right trucks. The containers can also be stacked inside each other using a crane, creating even more valuable combo containers. To be successful, players must also get rid of ghosts and deal with icy and slippery terrain.

Recursio is a top-down 1-on-1 twin-stick shooter in which each player tries to stand on several points at the same time. To achieve this, players must make use of the time loop mechanic: after each round, a virtual image repeats all the actions and movements that the player performed in the previous round. This creates complex situations in which players must pay attention to the past, present, and future in order to win.

Four players fight side by side in this multiplayer roguelike as they climb the world tree Yggdrasil to battle the gods and start Ragnarök. The screen is divided into four parts, allowing each player to explore the level on their own and use split-screen abilities to support their friends. Since all players start in different rooms, the goal is not only to defeat the boss of each level, but also to find each other. So if you want to reach the top, you’ll have to demonstrate teamwork.

Chonky – From Breakfast to Domination is a cuddly RPG in which the player must help the Chonkies defend their home from invading monsters. Although they are not the most intelligent, the Chonkies are an inventive species that use just about anything as a weapon or armor. In doing so, they repeatedly stumble upon new abilities, but they can only remember a handful of them. Fortunately, Chonkies like to write down their new discoveries in their diary so that knowledge of these abilities is not lost. Explore their world with the Chonkies and discover countless secrets and surprises!

Forge Squad

Forge Squad is a cooperative crafting game for 4 players. To defeat the advancing waves of enemies, runes must be forged. The crafting process consists of several steps that can only be completed efficiently by working together. Enemies can only be damaged by towers loaded with the correct type of rune. The strongest enemies also have shields that must be destroyed by the players themselves in order to protect the entrance to the realm of the gods.

WHAT WE LEAVE BEHIND

WHAT WE LEAVE BEHIND is a story-driven roguelike game with point-and-click adventure elements. The game is set in a fictional japanese city where time and space are out of balance. Thus, time only moves when the player moves and the layout of the city changes randomly everytime the player dies. To escape this violent place, the player has to either sneak around enemies or fight them by combining items to create chain reactions. Furthermore, all characters have their own dialogue trees and talking to them may result in them joining the player to help and fight alongside them.
