Calculating and Simulating Power Electronics: Plexim Held Workshop

05 November, 2024
Simulation and practice combined: Workshop at UAS Technikum Wien strengthens qualifications for modern power electronics.
Specialized simulation software has long been used in modern power electronics design processes and the industry is increasingly looking for young professionals to become proficient in handling the various functions.
Accordingly, there was great interest at the beginning of October 2024 in a workshop at UAS Technikum Wien (organized by the Power Electronics and Control Systems competence field) to gain a coveted additional qualification in this area.
Students from four degree programs and two faculties took part. Another nice added value for our students was the participation of representatives from the user industry – this enabled additional exchange from a developer’s point of view.
Power electronics play a central role in the energy transition: The relevant content of the workshop is used in the development of power electronic systems such as e-vehicle drives, as well as battery, fuel cell or photovoltaic controllers, but also highly efficient energy supplies in automation.
