EU made our city: Walking exploration through Vienna

08 May, 2024
In an age of polarisation, climate change and war, we need the European Union more than ever.
Eugene Quinn, British with Irish parents, wants to celebrate the EU parliamentary elections in 2024, with a tour looking at how Brussels funding has helped shape the look of our city. Organized by the International Office of the UAS Technikum Wien, the tour visited the best new EU-funded projects and explored the extent to which Vienna and Austria have changed since accession in 1995. „Geh ma weiter, oida:“ Eugene’s kind invitation to roam the streets of Vienna on September 28, „united in diversity,“ in line with the EU motto. Eugene captures the EU spirit in Vienna, which creates a more educated and liberal society. At the end of the tour, it became clear that building a better Europe begins when people come together.
