Exchange and Networking in the Healthcare Sector: 34th Interoperability Forum

28 May, 2024
The 34th Interoperability Forum at UAS Technikum Wien brought together 32 experts from the healthcare sector to discuss e-health projects. The focus was on the IDERHA project, which is researching new ways of using healthcare data.
On 21 May 2024, a total of 32 people took part in the interoperability forum, both on site and online, all with expertise in interoperability and standardization in the healthcare sector.
The Austrian Interoperability Forum (Österreichisches Interoperabilitätsforum) is an open platform for cooperation and mutual information of e-health projects in Austria. As part of the event, Lukas Rohatsch from the Software Engineering & Architecture competence field and Christian Mühlendyck from Johnson & Johnson presented the IDERHA project.
IDERHA: Europe-wide consortium of 33 public and private institutions
April 2023 saw the launch of IDERHA (Integration of Heterogeneous Data and Evidence towards Regulatory and HTA Acceptance), a new Europe-wide consortium of 33 public and private institutions, including UAS Technikum Wien. The aim of the project is to harness the flood of data in the healthcare sector to offer lung cancer patients in particular new opportunities for individualized therapies and cures. In the course of the project, the first pan-European Health Data Space will be created and recommendations will be developed for authorities and politicians on how heterogeneous data and research results in the healthcare sector can be used successfully for the benefit of patients.
We are delighted that UAS Technikum Wien can make a contribution by providing space and expertise for such an important exchange. We are also looking forward to the next Interoperability Forum, which will take place on September 17, 2024.
