In addition to supervising master’s theses, he directly incorporates his many years of experience from international companies, European institutions, and research collaborations into his teaching.
“With Roman Stiftner, we are honoring an individual who combines academic expertise with international industry experience and actively contributes this to our university. We particularly value his commitment to building bridges between research, business, and European networks,” emphasizes Sylvia Geyer, Rector of UAS Technikum Wien.
International Networking as Added Value
Through his leadership roles in Austrian and European organizations, Stiftner supports UAS Technikum Wien in expanding its international contacts and research collaborations. Among other things, he facilitated the presentation of the university’s research findings in the field of robotics during the European Commission’s Raw Materials Week in Brussels.
“What is particularly valuable to us is that Roman Stiftner not only brings his many years of international industry experience to his teaching but also promotes direct exchange between students and companies. This allows both sides to establish contacts early on, while our students gain practical insights into current industrial challenges,” emphasizes Erich Markl, Head of the Industrial Engineering Department.
