nejo and UAS Technikum Wien: Partnership to Promote Innovative Job Placement

25 October, 2024
The close cooperation between nejo and UAS Technikum Wien combines innovative technology with academic excellence to improve the job search.
nejo, a start-up specializing in improving job search, and UAS Technikum Wien work closely together to promote innovative research projects and support students with their Master’s theses. This cooperation combines practice and science and thus strengthens the innovative power of both partners. The nejo team consists of co-founders Nik Wageneder, Simona Hübl and Agry Zarza.
Joint projects and support for students
nejo is currently supporting three students at the university in finalizing their Master’s theses, which are closely linked to the company’s research initiatives to improve job-matching algorithms. This enables students to apply their theoretical knowledge in practical projects and gain valuable experience in a highly innovative environment.
In addition, nejo, with the support of the UAS Technikum Wien, has submitted a research funding application as part of the FFG basic program and has since received funding approval. Under the leadership of Matthias Blaickner, the university will contribute its scientific expertise to this project and work together with nejo to research pioneering technologies in order to match the skills of candidates with employer requirements in the best possible way. This close link between science and practice is an important success factor for the innovative strength of both institutions.
nejo: The future of job search
nejo has set itself the goal of revolutionizing the job search for candidates by offering a platform that enables a significantly improved user experience through the use of artificial intelligence. Using algorithms developed in collaboration with the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien, nejo strives to connect candidates with suitable employers more effectively.
For job seekers, this means a significant improvement in the application process, as nejo aims to provide more relevant job suggestions and optimize the entire application process. Companies benefit from a higher quality of applications and a more efficient recruitment process.
In addition to job seekers in the local market, nejo’s development also focuses on international candidates looking to relocate to the EU. In view of the increasing shortage of skilled workers in many EU countries, nejo offers employers the opportunity to recruit across national borders.
The collaboration between nejo and UAS Technikum Wien shows how academic expertise and practical solutions can be combined to strengthen both the education of students and the innovative strength of the companies involved. Both partners pursue a common vision: to improve job search and placement through innovative technologies and thus optimize opportunities for employees and employers alike. nejo is part of the Entrepreneurship Program of UAS Technikum Wien, which provides, among other things, premises, experts and other support options.
nejo is currently looking for two new employees to expand the team. We are looking for an AI Engineer with at least 2-3 years of professional experience and a Full-Stack Engineer with a focus on Frontend, who is also suitable as a motivated junior or recent graduate. Interested parties can contact Mona Hübl, who is already conducting initial interviews with promising candidates: mona@mynejo.com
