President Visit: Kettering University in Vienna

Independence day in the US, July 4, marked the visit of colleagues of Kettering University (KU) Dr. Robert McMahan, President of KU, Dr. James Zhang, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, and Laura Mazzeo Allen, M.Ed. Director Office of International Programs, in Vienna.
In the morning, they visited the Faculty of Electronic Engineering & Entrepreneurship, with insights into Power Electronics and Control Systems, Autonomour Drones in R&D and Teaching as well as the Smart Living Lab. After lunch, the delegation met the Faculty of Industrial Engineering, which encompassed a tour to the Digital Factory as well as to the Competence Center Material Science and Mechanical Systems. The program started and ended with a meeting with Rector Sylvia Geyer to answer any open questions as well as to look into the strategic outlook of both institutions. With shared plans for the future, we bid farewell to our colleagues of KU!
The president visit followed a delegation visit of UAS Technikum Wien colleagues to KU in October 2022. More information here. In October 2024, nine students of Kettering University will be in Vienna for an international study week with focus on IoT.
