Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences visited FH Technikum Wien

The focus of the meeting was an exchange on teaching, research and future projects.
On August 20 and 21, 2024, UAS Technikum Wien welcomed representatives from the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences to discuss current teaching methods, research projects and future collaborations. In addition to the intensive exchange, the guests also visited laboratories and research facilities at UAS Technikum Wien.
On August 20, Prof. Karel Frana and Franz Thiel from the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences were welcomed to the Energy Base by Albert Benoni and Momir Tabakovic. The guests were given a comprehensive insight into the laboratories at UAS Technikum Wien. The following day, they visited the university’s digital factory, which is regarded as a showcase for innovative production technologies. The visit concluded with a visit to the Lichtenegg Energy Research Park, where sustainable energy concepts are researched in a practical manner.
New impetus for future cooperation
The meeting provided both sides with the opportunity to discuss current research projects and new project ideas in depth. Valuable synergies were discussed, particularly in the areas of energy research and digital factory automation.
