Visit to Ulaanbaatar: Cooperation with Mongolian University

Four experts from UAS Technikum Wien visited a partner university in Mongolia to promote cooperation in research and teaching.

From August 26 to 30, 2024, Erich Markl, Momir Tabakovic, Manfred Schindler and David Sengl (Faculty Industrial Engineering at UAS Technikum Wien) visited the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST) in Ulaanbaatar.

The visit focused on strengthening cooperation between the Mongolian university and the Faculty of Industrial Engineering at UAS Technikum Wien. In particular, the topics of renewable energies, building technology and heat pump technology were discussed. The intensification of cooperation in the fields of mechanical engineering and mechatronics/robotics is planned for the coming years.

Experts held a two-day workshop on the simulation of sustainable building systems. Another focus was the presentation of existing and new FHTW study programs in the Faculty of Industrial Engineering in the fields of climate-conscious building technology, hydrogen technology, mechanical engineering and mechatronics/robotics to Mongolian university representatives.

Exchange with national companies and organizations

The visit was rounded off by exchanges with national companies and organizations in the fields of construction technology, international cooperation and renewable energies in order to promote new research projects and internships. The following companies were among those visited: Dynamic Tower, Tumen Amagalan Ordon LLC, and the German Society for International Cooperation.
