Google

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies,” which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for the website operators, and to provide other services related to website and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required by law or where such third parties process the data on Google’s behalf. Google will never associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting your browser settings accordingly; however, please note that in this case, you may not be able to use all features of this website to their full extent.

We use Google Tag Manager on our website, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (parent company: Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). This service allows us to manage website tags (e.g., analytics or marketing scripts) via a central interface and integrate them into our website. Google Tag Manager itself (which implements the tags) does not set any cookies by default and does not store any personal data. It merely triggers other tags, which may in turn collect data (such as the services listed below). However, Google Tag Manager does collect your IP address, which must be transmitted to Google for technical reasons in order to provide the service. The integration of Google Tag Manager is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR and § 165(3) of the TKG 2021. Data may be transferred to the parent company, Google LLC, in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which ensures an adequate level of data protection.

You can prevent scripts from running via Google Tag Manager at any time by revoking your consent in our consent banner or by disabling JavaScript in your browser. For details, see the Google Tag Manager Terms of Service at https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/tag-manager/use-policy/.

We use the conversion tracking tool Floodlight on our website as part of the Google Marketing Platform provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (parent company: Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). Floodlight tags enable us to track and analyze whether, after clicking on one of our ads (e.g., on Google platforms or other websites), you perform certain actions on our website (e.g., registering for an information session, downloading informational material). To do this, Google sets a cookie in your browser. We receive only anonymized, aggregated data reports from Google and cannot directly identify you as an individual. Legal basis: The use of Google Floodlight is based solely on your consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 165(3) TKG 2021. Transfer to third countries: Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States.

Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Withdrawal: You may withdraw your consent at any time with future effect via our cookie consent banner or prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser settings accordingly. Further information: For more details on Google’s use of data and options for opting out, please see Google’s Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Facebook Pixel (Meta Pixel)

We use the Facebook Pixel (also known as the Meta Pixel) on our website, provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland (parent company: Meta Platforms, Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA). The Facebook Pixel enables Meta to identify visitors to our website as a target audience for displaying advertisements (so-called “Facebook Ads” or “Instagram Ads”). We use the Pixel to tailor our advertising activities to users who have shown a potential interest in our degree programs, courses, or events. It also serves to statistically evaluate our advertising campaigns. We are jointly responsible with Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. for the collection and transmission of data in connection with this tool (pursuant to Art. 26 of the GDPR). The key provisions of the joint controller agreement can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum.

Meta is solely responsible for the subsequent processing of the data by Meta. The use of the pixel is based exclusively on your consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR and Section 165(3) of the TKG 2021. Meta Platforms, Inc. in the U.S. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Nevertheless, it cannot be ruled out that U.S. security authorities may gain access to this data. The data collected via the pixel is deleted after a maximum of 180 days. You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect via our cookie consent banner. Further information: Details on data processing by Meta can be found in Meta’s Data Policy at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

Reddit Pixel

We use the Reddit Pixel on our website, provided by Reddit, Inc., 1455 Market Street, Suite 1600, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. The Reddit Pixel is a snippet of JavaScript code that allows us to track visitors’ interactions on our website after they have viewed or clicked on an ad on the social media platform Reddit. This helps us analyze the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns (e.g., for degree programs or university events) and make future ads on Reddit more relevant to you (so-called conversion tracking and retargeting). In doing so, pseudonymized data (such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and clicks made) is transmitted to Reddit.

The use of the Reddit pixel is based exclusively on your consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR and § 165(3) of the TKG 2021. Transfer to third countries: The collected data is transferred to Reddit’s servers in the United States and stored there. Reddit, Inc. is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF), which guarantees an adequate level of data protection for the transfer. You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect via our cookie consent banner. Additionally, as a registered Reddit user, you can specify in your personal Reddit account settings whether you wish to be shown personalized ads. Further information: Details regarding Reddit’s data collection and use, as well as your rights and privacy settings, can be found in Reddit’s Privacy Policy at https://www.reddit.com/policies/privacy-policy.
