03 October, 2025

The expert from UAS Technikum Wien outlined the strategic role of artificial intelligence, from a corporate to a global perspective.

Lars Mehnen, senior lecturer and researcher in the field of artificial intelligence and data analytics at the Department of Computer Science, was the keynote speaker at the Culture Impact Congress in Vienna on September 25, 2025. The annual congress is a meeting place for anyone interested in shaping future-oriented corporate culture.

In his keynote speech, Mehnen talked about AI and strategy and gave an overview of the opportunities and limitations of current technologies. He pointed out that artificial intelligence should primarily be understood as a “thinking amplifier – not a thinker,” outlined the different schools of AI, and explained the role that data quality, governance, and cooperation play in its successful implementation. He also covered everything from specific corporate use cases to the global perspective – from the innovation-driven USA to the highly data-oriented China to Europe, which is shaped by values, regulation, and education.

The Culture Impact Congress is primarily aimed at HR managers and strategists who are looking for inspiration on topics such as corporate culture, digital transformation, and forward-looking technologies.
