Alumni, experts and students met to exchange ideas about innovation and to network, discussing the topic: ‘AI in technology and the media’.

On 16 January 2025, the Alumni Homecoming took place at the FH Technikum Wien. With inspiring lectures, exciting discussions and a networking evening, the university celebrated its graduates and offered an outlook on the future of technology and media.

A festive evening of reunions

Thomas Faast, Head of Marketing & Communications, welcomed over 120 participants, including graduates from various years and fields of study. This was followed by the keynote speech ‘AI in the media – between mistrust, innovation and convenience’ by Harald Kräuter, Director of Technology and Digitisation at ORF, which offered exciting insights into the opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence in the media sector.

Harald Kräuter, Georg Krause, CEO of msgPlaut AG, Andreas Gruber, managing director of TRUSTIFAI and alumnus of the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien, and Isabel Dregely, head of the Artificial Intelligence & Data Analytics competence field at the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien, took part in the subsequent panel discussion.
