KUAS Delegation visits UAS Technikum Wien

On Monday, March 9, 2026, the International Office of the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien welcomed 13 students and two staff members from Kyoto University of Advanced Science (KUAS). The visit aimed to strengthen academic exchange and provide insight into Technikum Wien’s teaching and research infrastructure.
The program began with a welcome session hosted by the International Office, where participants received an overview of incoming semester opportunities and international collaboration at Technikum Wien. Following the introduction, the visitors explored several laboratories across campus.
The morning featured visits to the IoT Lab with Stefan Paschek, as well as the Simulation Lab and Game Engineering Lab hosted by Jürgen Konrad. These sessions highlighted Technikum Wien’s work in connected technologies, digital simulation, and interactive systems. After a lunch break in the campus canteen, the delegation continued with a tour of the biotechnology and life sciences facilities led by Veronika Jesenberger. The group visited the Fish Facility, Ecotoxicology Lab, Cell Culture Lab, Research Lab, Bioreactor Lab, and Biotechnology Lab, gaining insight into current research activities and laboratory infrastructure.
The visit concluded with an informal coffee session with the International Office, providing time for discussion and questions, followed by a city tour of Vienna led by Eugene Quinn. The tour began at Technikum Wien and ended at Stephansdom, offering the KUAS delegation a chance to experience the historic city center. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, showcase research facilities, and strengthen the relationship between KUAS and Technikum Wien.
