World Usability Gongress 2023 in Graz: Workshop on Eye Tracking in User Research

The World Usability Congress is the world’s leading UX expert and strategy conference. This year, the conference took place in Graz, Austria, from October 9 to 12, 2023. International UX professionals and enthusiasts meet at the conference. Over 50 top speakers from different industries share their real-world UX challenges in multidisciplinary workshops and collaborate together with the participants.

The conference offers the ideal opportunity to network and exchange ideas with like-minded people. This year again, a team of UAS Technikum Wien and Technikum Wien Academy was present and could meet numerous graduates of the User Experience Management course at the conference.

Workshop on Eye Tracking in User Research

Benedikt Salzbrunn, head of the master course User Experience Management, held a workshop on eye tracking in user research. Participants* in the workshop went through a jam-packed day of hands-on training on eye tracking in various mobile and screen-based scenarios.

In addition, Janne Niels Reisdorf and Katharina Krammer, graduates of the master’s program User Experience Management, had the opportunity to present their master’s theses on the topics “Analysis of young people’s usage and decision-making behavior in securities trading for the development of user requirements for information provision and training by means of user-centered method” and “Design beyond the Visual – Heuristics for a Multisensory Approach to User Experience Design” at the conference.
