FH-Prof. DI Dr. Lukas Traxler is a senior lecturer and researcher at the UAS Technikum Wien at the faculty of “Life Science” in the competence field “Medical Engineering & Integrated Healthcare”. His teaching focuses on the subjects control engineering, signal and Image processing, signal acquisition and applied optics. Additionally, he works as scientist at the Austrian Institute of Technology in the competence unit for “High Performance Vision Systems” at the center for “Vision, Automation and Control”. His main research interests are technical optics and computational imaging in the field of ophthalmology and industrial automation. He received his PhD in in technical physics at Technical University of Vienna (thesis title: “Testing the Optical Quality of Intraocular Lenses Regarding Postoperative Tilt and Decentration”).
