Information about the Bachelor online placement test for regular admission in the winter semester 2026/27
Please note that all our Bachelor degree programs and the online placement test for all Bachelor degree programs is only offered in German, which means you have to prove German skills of at least level B2 in order to apply for a Bachelor program and take the placement test.
The online placement test for a Bachelor’s degree program starting in the winter semester 2026 (September) consists of a basic part, which covers the same topics for all Bachelor’s degree programs, and a program-specific part (regular entry into the first semester). The questions cover the following chapters of the placement test:
Basic part:
- Conclusions
- Text comprehension
- English
Program-specific part:
- Expectations
- Career prospects/interests
- Ready4Study
- Subject-specific questions
Information on the summer semester transfer (only for the 2nd or 4th semester)
The online placement test for lateral entry into the 2nd or 4th semester will take place in mid-January 2026. In the document “Fit for UAS Technikum Wien,” you will find sample questions and solutions for the general part of the placement test for lateral entry into the summer semester 2026 (2nd or 4th semester) for a Bachelor’s degree program at the UAS Technikum Wien. The questions cover the following chapters of the placement test:
- Algebra
- Functions
- Conclusions
- Text comprehension
- Physics and chemistry
- Electrical engineering and mechanical engineering
- Computer science
- English
The last placement test chapter
- Ready4Study
deals with, among other things, the expectations, motivation, and personality of the applicants.
Placement test dates
Several dates for the online placement test are offered each year between February and June. The online placement test for admission in the summer semester takes place in mid-January. For organizational reasons, only the next available dates are displayed in the application tool. You can participate after successfully applying and meeting the application deadlines.
