WarmUp Courses – Good start in your studies!
Our WarmUp courses give first-year students at UAS Technikum Wien the opportunity, during the summer months before starting their studies, not only to refresh their existing knowledge of mathematics, German, English and physics, but also to acquire new basic technical knowledge, e.g. in programming or electrical engineering.
The courses provide an introduction to the content of the degree programme and also offer an opportunity for initial networking. We are happy to assist participants at the information desk in the entrance area on the following dates:

WarmUp Courses for Bachelor’s Degree Programmes
German
The German warm-up course is designed to improve written language skills and is primarily aimed at first-year students whose first language is not German.

English
The English warm-up courses prepare students for the English-language requirements of the first and third semesters.

Electrical Engineering
This course provides a basic introduction to electrical engineering and explains fundamental concepts such as voltage, current and resistance. In addition, participants become familiar with the use of laboratory equipment. No prior knowledge of electrical engineering is required for this course!

Computer Science
The computer science warm-up courses provide an introduction to computer science and teach the most fundamental concepts of programming. The computer science warm-up courses are particularly suitable for people with no prior programming knowledge and are therefore (strongly) recommended for the Bachelor’s degree programmes in Computer Science and Business Informatics.

Business Informatics
For the Bachelor’s degree programme in Business Informatics there is a dedicated “Programming” course. Registration for this course is handled by the degree programme assistant, Ms Tudorescu (tudoresc@technikum-wien.at). Registrations are accepted from 01.06. onwards. The conditions of the degree programme apply.

Mathematics
The mathematics warm-up courses are designed to refresh and review the mathematical fundamentals that are expected at the start of the degree programme.

Physics
Some Bachelor’s degree programmes (Biomedical Engineering, International Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics/Robotics, Sports Engineering & Ergonimcs, Renewable Energy) require a basic knowledge of physics. The physics warm-up courses provide an opportunity to refresh these fundamentals.

Business Administration
The course is designed to refresh and review the fundamentals of business administration that are expected at the start of the degree programme.

Registration – How to Secure Your Course Place
Registration for the 2026 WarmUp courses is closed.
Have you completed the ranking test and signed the education contract? Then you can register for the WarmUp courses – the ideal way to start your studies with confidence. Prepare for the requirements of the first semesters in the lecture halls and laboratories at the UAS, test your existing knowledge and get to know your fellow students. Select the courses and dates in the registration form and get started!
- Before you can participate in a course, a deposit of € 50 must be paid in advance for each course. The invoice for the deposit is sent out regularly and can be viewed in the application tool under My Payments. Please do not transfer any amounts WITHOUT an invoice.
- The invoice is due immediately. Please note that it takes 5 working days for the payment to become visible in our system. Once your deposit has been received, you can see this in the online application tool. If you are offered a course place but do not receive an invoice, please contact us at: wukurse@technikum-wien.at.
- After attending at least 75% of the sessions of a course, the corresponding deposit will be refunded to the account from which the payment was made. If you attended less than 75% of the sessions of a course, the deposit will be retained. Refunds are processed continuously after the courses end until the end of the year.
- Please note that some courses take place at the same time and only book those that you can actually attend. Cancellation after receiving the invoice is not possible.
- Prerequisite for attending a WarmUp course is the UID of your degree programme (e.g. wue26b…). Once you have been successfully admitted to the degree programme and have student status , your registration will be processed according to the registration date.
Registration information:
A deposit of € 50 is charged for each registration for a course place. It is refunded for the respective course only if attendance is >75%.

Note: We kindly ask you to refrain from telephone inquiries and from sending payment confirmations. As a rule, it takes five working days from the date of transfer for a payment to appear in the system. Once your deposit has been received, you will receive confirmation of your course place with all important information.
