Linz AG Cooperates with Dual Bachelor’s Degree Program in Hydrogen Engineering

With this new cooperation, LINZ AG is strengthening the practical training offered in the dual bachelor’s degree program in hydrogen technology at the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien. Students gain insights into real-world applications along the entire value chain for green hydrogen.
The dual Bachelor’s degree program in Hydrogen Engineering dual at UAS Technikum Wien is expanding its industrial network with another important partner: LINZ AG and UAS Technikum Wien have signed a cooperation agreement to jointly train future knowledge carriers for the energy transition.
LINZ AG is a multi-utility provider for energy supply, public transport, and municipal services in Linz and 115 other municipalities in Upper Austria. With its broad expertise along the entire energy value chain, it plays a central role in the transformation of the energy system toward climate neutrality.

Well-known companies such as Wiener Stadtwerke GmbH, ANDRITZ, Gas Connect Austria, HOERBIGER, ILF Consulting Engineers, Energie Steiermark AG, Griesemann Gruppe, ZAUNERGROUP, and RAG Austria AG are already part of the training network for the dual bachelor’s degree program in hydrogen technology.
Students complete their practical training phases in the training companies
Starting in the third semester, students complete their practical training phases in the training companies, where they gain valuable practical experience along the entire green hydrogen value chain: from production, transport, and storage to industrial and municipal applications.
The dual study program in hydrogen technology started in the winter semester of 2024/25. The first students began their practical training in the fall of 2025. The aim is to train highly qualified specialists for a promising career field with long-term prospects.
