From static images to moving scenes: New AI models are revolutionizing video generation. At the Vienna Deep Learning Meetup at UAS Technikum Wien, Stability AI researcher Rahim Entezari demonstrated where the technology is heading.
On October 23, 2025, the 69th Vienna Deep Learning Meetup took place at UAS Technikum Wien. Numerous AI enthusiasts gathered to discuss current developments in the field of generative artificial intelligence — this time with a focus on real-time video generation using diffusion models.
After the welcome address by David Meyer (Program Director of the Bachelor’s in Business Informatics and Master’s in Data Science), Rahim Entezari, Research Scientist at Stability AI, presented his talk “Real-time Video Generation with Diffusion Models”. He shared the latest research results on fast and high-quality video synthesis, explaining recent innovations in diffusion and transformer architectures — particularly in sparse attention, distillation, and autoregressive methods.

About the Speaker
Rahim Entezari is a Research Scientist at Stability AI and played a key role in developing Stable Diffusion 3 and 3.5. He earned his PhD with distinction from TU Graz in the field of Artificial Intelligence and is currently conducting research on new methods for real-time video generation.
