Career Prospects
There are a wide range of employment opportunities for well-trained ICT experts. This applies both to the ICT production sector, which is often also referred to as the ICT core sector, and to ICT application sectors. Graduates work, for example, as system architects, software developers, database developers or experts in IT security. Typical tasks include the production of computers of all kinds, analyzing requirements, creating specifications, developing software components or carrying out system tests.

- Production: manufacture of computers, network elements and components, software, communications infrastructure and process control equipment.
- Services: Telecommunications and mobile communications, data processing services and databases, IT consulting, IT management, etc.
- ICT content: Media and advertising, online services, etc.
- Application industries: Private and public services (eService, eGovernment), interest groups and commerce (eCommerce), banking and insurance (eBanking, eService), healthcare, infotainment, eLearning
- Activities as IT system architect, software or database developer, IT system integrator, information manager, IT security expert, system and network administrator, etc.

Requirements
For a bachelor’s degree program at UAS Technikum Wien, you should have a certain technical interest and have completed the school-leaving examination. A relevant professional qualification is also considered to fulfill the admission requirements.

Internationalization
Starting in 2022/23, internationalization will play an important role for students at UAS Technikum Wien and will become a fixed component of every curriculum. The possibilities are diverse and adapted to the different circumstances of the students: from excursions lasting several days to semesters abroad, from acting as an International Buddy for others to writing the Bachelor thesis in English. All bachelor students complete at least 5 ECTS from a wide range of measures.
